About

I'm Chien, a computer science geek who travelled across the globe to realize her dreams. Or is still working her way to that.

I lived in Brunei for 18 years before coming abroad to study in a college in Reading, UK. I do plan to return to Brunei after my degree to repay what the government has given me - health benefits, free medication, free education, and a scholarship. Right now I'm working towards my dream of entering Oxford University pursuing a degree in Software Engineering.

I believe strongly in Buddhism now, and have given up eating beef as a promise to the Goddess of Mercy. I used to believe in various religions prior to this, but in the end I still held on strongly to Buddhism. I listen to the mantras often especially when in times of need.

I'm voluptuous, big boned, and I'm proud of it. I just want to make sure I live on a healthy diet, excercise often and don't die at a young age because of a disease that could have easily been avoided. I stopped complaining about my weight when I realized that before my 20kgs-in-2yrs weight gain, I constantly complained about being overweight but right now I wish I was back to that body size.

I love children and I'm frequently playing with my nephews and nieces who are simply adorable. I also love animals, particularly sheep, dogs and rabbits. I plan to get a sheep dog of my own one day. I also enjoy spending long hours doing prep, writing my short story or even coding up this CMS, which took me about two weeks to complete, thanks to school work and such.

I listen to music at least 2 hours daily. Music has been an important part of my life, even though I'm not that good in guitaring. I love singing as well, even though sometimes I'm a bit off-tune. Some of my all-time favourite artists are Westlife, Boyzone, Lifehouse, and Carrie Underwood. I also listen to Asian music and find myself seriously addicted to Super Junior, DBSK,Utada Hikaru and Big Bang.

Upon meeting me, the first impression that people get is that I'm very hard to befriend, or is always lost in my own thoughts. Honestly, I'm neither. I trust people easily and can spark conversations in any directions. I enjoy public speaking and debating.
