I do not apologize for my absence. I chose to be absent from this website for a while because I need to sort things out.

Exams were last month, physics ISA retake in the upcoming weeks, courseworks to be handed in, websites to complete, etc.

This site will undergo a revamp soon too. BahBah is an excellent script, but I'm getting too lazy to deal with its development right now since I've a lot of higher education planning ahead

I encountered various experiences that were… rather unexpected.

My sister and I set off at 10am from our hotel to the station. We walked, and thankfully arrived at 11.30, an hour before we were set to go. We had a cup of Mint Chocolate from Costa while calling home before we entered the train, prepared for a long journey ahead.

The journey from King's Cross Station to Edinburgh was alright. Unbeknownst to us, Hui and Carmen were also on the same train. What was even more coincidental was that Fish was also on the same train with us to Edinburgh from Newcastle. We arrived around 6pm in the evening and waited a good half hour before my cousin showed up!

The queue for taxis was incredibly long. I thought that queuing for taxis in Reading was bad, but this was crazy. We stood for about an hour in the cold, Hui wearing only a thin leather jacket, and managed to arrive safely at Nisa's place. Her room was small but it managed to accomodate 7 people in total. My poor friends had to suffer for four nights because of my crazy sleeping habits (Apparently I kick, hug and drool!)

Day two was so-so. We went out for breakfast because of Nisa's empty fridge. THe food was amazing, and I felt home-sick. More like, school sick. I missed the food at Oakview! Nonetheless, it was worth every penny! We then decided to shop. I didn't buy anything aside from groceries. Some of them decided to get alcohol so that we'd feel a bit warm on our way to Calvin Harris' concert at HMV Picture House in Waverly. The concert was a more relaxed one.

Girl Power!

Hui and I

Since Calvin Harris was the DJ, it was in a club-like atmosphere. It is here that I had my first sip of alcohol. I liked the lemonade that was added, but the bitterness of the alcohol was a big no-no. The concert was amazing until someone decided to throw their drinks over us. My whole body was covered with rum and I was at the verge of vomitting. Eventually we were so fed up that we sat in the seats and watched the awesome DJ. We got out after 3pm, again queuing up for the annoying taxis.

Calvin Harris, live!

Since Carmen and Yvonne were in high heels, Fish without a coat, my sister pissed off and Hui being lazy, Nisa and I decided to walk back. On the way, we spotted a taxi and we waved our arms, hoping it would stop for us. It did. We headed back to fetch the others and since there were five of them, Nisa and I decided to walk back again. Knowing that Nisa had no money on her, I abruptly snatched the wallet off my sister's hand (since my money was inside) before shutting the cdab door shut. While walking, we were lucky enough to get another taxi to bring us back.

On the 31st, we ate lunch at Bella Italia. Fish had to go back to Newcastle so Nisa sent her off halfway during the meal. I shared "The Godfather" with Hui. Oh my god. It was the best dessert, ever! The hot chocolate brownies and the cold ice-cream… a perfect combination! I didn't take a photo, simply because I was ravenous

At night we got ready to go for the Waverly Hogmanay event. We met up with Farihin, Asyraf and his sister and then pushed our way through the crowd to get a good view of the concert. A random dude thought that everyone in our group was Japanese and so he said Konnichiwa. I still find it amusing how people think that my friends are Japanese whenever they say they're not Chinese.

The celebration was awesome. I loved how everyone counted down to 2010. What I didn't like was how this dude was trying to hump me even though I pushed him away so many times. It was crowded and he was taking up my space with his booty shaking and so forth. I was so angry that I elbowed him off because he was really creeping me out! I had no other choice!

Hello 2010!

After the amazing fireworks display, random people were trying to climb up a pole. It quite reminded me of Mulan somehow. Nonetheless it gave us time to laugh a lot. When everyone sang Auld Lang Syne, I was about to cry. I thought of home and the pesky little brother that I absolultely adore. He's going off to Singapore today and his new adventure begins, just like mine has.

1st January was a lazy day since we got back at 3am that night. I woke up when Yvonne was about to go back to Notts. She left when it was my turn to cook lunch for all of us. All of us served a meal each and it was really appetizing and filling. Nisa and Carmen went out to the carnival, but the three of us stayed in. We ate dinner at 11pm and continued talking and watching videos until the 2nd at 7am. We then moved back into Nisa's room to sleep before heading back to London.

ETA: While in London, when my sister and I were in London Paddington, we had to change trains because the train was cancelled. Some drunken guy decided to smash a train window. Sadly for me the guy was in my carriage and he was arguing with a girl. I think the girl was a Law Student though since she argued with basis. My sister and I just decided to gossip in Chinese and record the drunkards weird actions secretly. Gosh, I really attract trouble :O

That concludes my trip. I would really upload more pictures but then again I've yet to buy a Flickr pro account (I'm waiting for my school bill first so that I can plan my finances for this month).

New Year Resolutions? Not setting much this year. Last year I came up with a mile long list and it only worked for the first few months and then poof! it disappeared.

Basically, this is my current list:

Main resolution for the year 2010: Perform my best and know my limits. Never do things that I will end up regretting.
